Admissions

Please note if you are considering moving to Benfleet we are aware that there are very few, if any, school places in this area and that we are currently completely full in all year groups.  This means that if you move to Benfleet you may need to be prepared to travel in order to gain a school place.  Please contact the school office to check our availability and/or be added to our waiting list.

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. Please contact the school for details of our priority catchment area or use the School’s website.

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.

Admissions - Autumn 2024

We are a popular primary school with an intake of 60 pupils a year, with a maximum pupil number of 420 across the whole school. Please note we are currently running at maximum capacity for most year groups.  The National Infant Class Size Guarantee places a 30 pupil limit on each class.  In order to provide the best possible education for all pupils the Governing Body has extended this 30 pupil limit across the school giving us our 420 total capacity.

Please speak to Mrs Hartland in our School office if you are thinking of applying for a place.

Please see below for details of the admissions process and our admissions policy. Please also find a list of roads and an approximate map of our priority admissions area.

In year admissions

If you require a school place at another time of year or in another year group, perhaps due to relocation, please contact the school office to enquire about places. Our school admission form (not for new intake Early Years admissions) is available below

Appeals

Parents will have the right of appeal for a place at a school that they had put as a preference and for which they had not been allocated a place, even where that preference was of a lower rank than the place offered.

The appeal would be against the admission authority and not the LA, unless relating to a community or VC school. The LA will provide the admission authority at that time with details of the preference expressed by parents.

Parents have 20 working days to lodge an appeal.
