YMCA Afterschool Club – Where Fun, Friends & Relaxation Come Together
I am pleased to confirm that YMCA Afterschool Club will be starting on Monday 13th April 2026
Our YMCA Afterschool Club is a happy, safe and exciting place where children can relax, play and enjoy themselves after a busy school day.
The club takes place in the school hall, and our friendly YMCA staff collect children directly from their classrooms at the end of the school day, ensuring a smooth and reassuring transition into the session.
We begin each afternoon with our much-loved “snack and chat” time. Children enjoy a healthy fruit snack while chatting with friends and staff about their day, helping them unwind and feel settled.
Each session follows a structured but flexible routine, giving children the freedom to choose activities they enjoy while benefiting from consistency and care. We offer a wide variety of fun and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors, including: • Creative arts and crafts • Board games and puzzles • Planned group activities • Outdoor games such as football and active play
For children who need a calmer space, we provide a cosy reading and quiet area, perfect for relaxing, reading, or completing homework if they wish.
Later in the afternoon, children are served a light tea, keeping them happy and energised until home time.
Our club offers a warm, fun and nurturing environment, designed to help children wind down, build friendships and enjoy plenty of choice and play at the end of the school day.
Pick-up time is 6:00pm.
